Tradewind is excited to partner with a vibrant F–9 school in Point Cook, Melbourne's west, to recruit a passionate Primary Wellbeing Specialist Teacher for a part-time (2 days per week, set days), role starting from now.

This role is perfect for an educator committed to fostering student wellbeing and supporting social–emotional growth in the lower to middle primary years. You'll join a warm, forward-thinking school community that embraces the International Baccalaureate framework—nurturing global perspectives, creativity, and a love of lifelong learning.

Key duties:

  • Implement programs and lessons that focus on student wellbeing, covering areas like emotional regulation, resilience, stress management, and self-care.
  • Lead lessons that teach students about respect, empathy, and healthy relationships. This includes educating them about consent, conflict resolution, and gender equality.
  • Encourage positive student interactions and behaviour, teaching students to develop mutual respect, tolerance, and understanding of differences in a diverse society.
  • Identify students who may need extra support with emotional wellbeing or relationships and provide interventions, possibly involving counsellors or external resources.
  • Demonstrate positive communication, empathy, and respectful relationships in your interactions with students, staff, and the wider school community.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Must have VIT registration
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia/NZ/Placement experience essential
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
