We're looking for Junior NOC Support staff to join our Network Operations Centre team. This is an entry-level position suited to someone who has had some exposure to NOC environments and wants to grow their skills in network operations and monitoring.

Job: Junior NOC Support

Location: Sydney

Type: Full-time Contract | Shift-based (24/7 coverage)

You'll work as part of a team that keeps critical systems running — monitoring alerts, logging incidents, and escalating issues to senior engineers when needed.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor network and system alerts using standard NOC tools.
  • Respond to alerts, log incidents accurately, and follow standard procedures.
  • Escalate issues to Level 2/3 engineers when required.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure system availability.
  • Keep clear and up-to-date records of incidents and actions taken.
  • Work as part of a 24/7 rotating shift team, including nights and weekends.

What We're Looking For

  • Some exposure to NOC operations or network monitoring environments (through work, internship, or training).
  • Basic understanding of how networks and monitoring tools operate.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow set procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working in a shift-based, around-the-clock environment.
  • (No degree required — training and support will be provided.)

Nice to Have (but not required)

  • Familiarity with network basics (e.g. IP addresses, DNS, VPNs).
  • Exposure to monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.
  • Basic IT or network certifications (CompTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.) or working towards them.
