Job Description:

Our Regulatory Affairs Assistant will play a key role in ensuring our cosmetic products comply with Australian regulations and assist data processing, systems maintenance and compliance documentation.

This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and an interest in cosmetics and a career in regulatory affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cosmetic products comply with AICIS (Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme) and ACCC (Australian Competition & Consumer Commission) cosmetic labelling standards
  • Support the classification of products as either cosmetics or therapeutic goods, escalating complex cases to senior Regulatory Affairs staff when required
  • Review new products to confirm labelling, claims, and compliance with relevant standards
  • Prepare, update, and maintain accurate technical documentation
  • Assist with ingredient assessments and the review of INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) lists
  • Manage document control and filing systems to ensure records are accurate and up to date
  • Request, organise, and collate product data from the merchandising team and suppliers
  • Provide project support as needed across Regulatory Affairs and related business initiative

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Science, chemistry or other relevant qualification or experience in technical, data driven admin, QA, RA or a background in cosmetics industry
  • Demonstrates a "can-do" attitude, ability to multi-task
  • Strong aptitude for working with systems and data
  • Strong organisational and information management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and a methodical and organised approach to work
  • Proficiency with general office software (Google, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Thrives in high-pressure situations while making informed decisions that balance risk and reward
