KTrans are a Western Australian family owned and operated transport and logistics business operating from our modern facilities across multiple locations in Kenwick, Welshpool, Kwinana and Karratha with a focus of providing quality end-to-end logistics solutions for our business partners.

We have exciting journey ahead of us and with the continued growth and sustained success we are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the finance team who shares our common values of DISCIPLINE | LOYALTY | ACCOUNTABILITY | HONESTY | PRIDE.

About the Role:

In this role your key responsibilities include:

  • Administering the end-to-end weekly payroll for up to 300 employees.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
  • Maintain and update employee records and payroll related documentation in electronic form.
  • Administer payroll reporting obligations, including superannuation STP reporting, Payroll tax and third party disbursements.
  • Ensuring compliance with all payroll legislation and applicable laws.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide essential support to the finance team where required.

About You:

Education & Experience

  • A finance or payroll related qualification will be highly regarded.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, ideally within the transport and logistics industry.
  • Ability to handle priorities and tasks with accuracy and outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and understand new systems and processes quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
