About Our Client

Our client is committed to delivering quality services to their clients, while maintaining a safe, healthy and enjoyable working environment for employees and stakeholders. With long-term civil projects across North Brisbane, they are seeking experienced Civil Pipe Layers for multiple projects in the North Brisbane region.

What you will be doing

As a member of the drainage crew, you will be required to work 9-10 hour days, Monday to Friday, commencing at 6:30am daily. Your core duties will include;

  • Installing watermains including PE, Ductile, PVC
  • Installing sewer and drainage pipes including PE, Ductile, PVC
  • Prepare trenches for pipe installation
  • Lay, align and assemble according to plans
  • Construct concrete structures -manholes, chambers, pits, headwalls
  • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications – using picks, crowbars, shovels, engine powered compaction equipment

What you will need

  • Proven experience in Civil Pipe Laying for water/sewerage works (minimum 12 months experience)
  • Knowledge of pipe installation methods, safety procedures, and quality control
  • Requirement to be physically fit and healthy to perform duties
  • Ability to read and interpret and plans
  • Drivers Licence and vehicle (MR/HR Truck Licence advantageous)
  • White Card
