MR Truck Driver | $36/hr | Canberra, ACT

We are on the lookout for a reliable and professional Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Driver to join our dynamic transport team in Canberra. If you're passionate about safe driving, customer service, and don't mind rolling up your sleeves, this could be the perfect fit.

Location: Canberra, ACT

Pay Rate: $36/hr

Job Type: Casual Contract but ongoing position

Must be available for weekends, public holidays, and rostered shifts with staggered start/finish times.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Safely operate a Medium Rigid truck to deliver and collect products across Canberra.
  • Perform vehicle safety checks, follow cleaning rosters, and report mechanical issues.
  • Communicate with supervisors, customer service, and clients to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Provide a friendly, prompt, and reliable service to all customers.
  • Handle manual tasks including lifting and transporting large trolleys.
  • Deliver products to designated storerooms and rotate stock as per quality standards.
  • Complete daily paperwork including run sheets and incident reports.
  • Assist with packing and general housekeeping duties as needed.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 12 months experience as a delivery driver in an industrial setting (laundry, hospital, aged care preferred).
  • Strong understanding of manual handling and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow operational processes and maintain high standards.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and workplace respect.
  • Unrestricted C Class Licence and MR Licence - Mandatory.
  • Physically fit and able to meet manual handling requirements.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Must pass a pre-employment medical and police check.
