About the role

As a Combo Operator at Dusty Detailed Excavations Pty Ltd, you will play a vital role in the construction industry, operating a range of heavy machinery to support large-scale excavation projects. This full-time position is based out of Caboolture, QLD 4510, offering the opportunity to be part of an experienced, hard-working team delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients. Combo consists of a beaver tail 22.5T Gmail truck, new Kubota U55-4, Caterpillar 216B skid steer.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operate a range of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, to complete earthworks, demolition, and site preparation tasks. This is a general hire position.
  2. Working with Brisbane's largest earthmoving hire agencies.
  3. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  4. Work collaboratively with the broader construction team to coordinate work activities and meet project deadlines
  5. Identify and report any issues or concerns to the owner in a timely manner

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Combo Operator or similar heavy machinery role in the construction industry
  2. HR Tuck License, RII Skid steer and RII Excavator Tickets, Construction White Card
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and safety requirements of a range of construction equipment
  4. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues
  6. Commitment to safe work practices and environmental sustainability
  7. Valid heavy vehicle driver's licence and relevant construction industry certifications
