Turner & Townsend's Data and Digital Advisory team is expanding and looking for a Principal Consultantto join the team. As a member of our Data & Digital Consulting team, you will be 'output' focused and have experience working across a variety of sectors and client types, supporting delivery and implementation of performance improvements across Portfolios and Programs of work. In addition to driving impactful client outcomes you will be expected to support business and service development to help grow our team and market presence. We are looking for someone with a passion for data improvements and client excellence, but who is also keen to help build our team and service profile and as continue on our journey as a leader within industry.
Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Consultant specialising in Data Systems and Reporting Development to join our expanding Digital Team. This role will focus on a key client and work full-time alongside other team members. The successful candidate will support in developing our Digital Service offering and provide Power BI and Reporting support to the wider Turner & Townsend team and our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Client Focus: Work closely with a key client to understand their needs and deliver tailored digital solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to enhance the Digital Service offering.
- Power BI Support: Provide Power BI and Reporting support to various clients.
- Development: Assist in the development of digital strategies and solutions.
- Problem Solving: Address challenges that arise on a day-to-day basis with effective solutions.
Technical Skills:
- Digital Strategy: Intermediate to advanced skills in digital and technology strategy and enhancement recommendations.
- Data Management: Intermediate to advanced skills in data strategy and architecture design management.
- Project Implementation: Advanced skills in digital project implementation management.
- System Integration: Intermediate skills in system integration.
- Application Development: Intermediate skills in application development.
- Analytical Reporting: Advanced skills in analytical reporting and dashboard development.
- Scenario Analytics: Advanced skills in scenario analytics and modelling.
- Data Interrogation: Intermediate skills in data interrogation and cleaning.
- Data Standardisation: Intermediate skills in source data standardisation and key mapping.
- Data Model Development: Intermediate skills in data model development.
- Insight Reports: Advanced skills in developing key insights reports based on analytical findings.
- Data Maps: Intermediate skills in creating conceptual data maps and data schemas.
- Statistics: Intermediate understanding of using statistics to interpret data.
- Project Controls: Knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
- Requirements Elicitation: Experience with requirements elicitation.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in managing expectations and facilitating communication.
- Business Improvement: Understanding of business improvement approaches including business process re-engineering, system development, change management, and other relevant techniques.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Information Systems, Data Analysis, Computer Science, Economics, Business Management).
- Security Clearance: Must be security cleared or able to achieve this.
- Work Rights: Currently in Australia with full Australian working rights.
Experience: Preferred experience in Data and Digital roles (e.g., Data Analyst, Digital Consultant, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Cyber Security, Technology Specialist, System Developer).
Business Intelligence: Advanced knowledge of PowerBi, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Programming: Intermediate knowledge of Python, R Data, MS Visual Studio, or similar tools.
- MS365 Power Platform: Intermediate knowledge of MS365 Power Platform (Apps, automate).
- Database Development: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL, SSMS, and Microsoft Azure Platform (Synapse, Machine Learning, Databricks)
