POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for supporting the finance department in various accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

· Prepare and issue invoices to clients and ensure prompt payment processing.

· Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and supplier statements.

· Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

· Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.

· Monitor and track company expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.

· Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.

· Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.

· Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· Proven experience working in an accounts payable or accounts receivable role, preferably within the construction industry.

· Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders.

· Knowledge of relevant accounting principles, regulations, and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
