THE ROLE
Applications are sought from newly qualified Graduate Geologists to join the team at Ora Banda. This role will be based at our Riverina operations on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

This is your opportunity to learn the following as part of a structured graduate program:

  • Supporting the OBM Drive to 150koz+ and beyond for growth, by assisting with Resource Conversion & Definition, and underground drill programs
  • Conducting day to day mine geology activities, including face mapping, face sampling and updating all plans and sections with geology data
  • Assisting with wall and backs mapping of all capital and ore development to ensure regulatory compliance, monitor geotechnical conditions and build the knowledge base of the deposit
  • Collecting quality structural measurements for face, wall and backs mapping and core logging
  • Working with Engineers and Surveyors to minimise dilution and maximise recovery of the ore in development and stoping
  • Assisting with documenting and communicating the underground geology activities to ensure geology and mining activities are aligned

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:  

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science (Geology) or similar from a recognised institution
  • Strong and genuine focus on safety
  • Vacation student and/or Geology/Pit Technician experience would be advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive attitude towards learning and completion of tasks
  • Current WA manual driver's licence
