We are working on an exciting opportunity to join a leading commercial law firm within their Corporate M&A team, based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.

About the role

The role involves working on complex transactions across a range of industries and jurisdictions, alongside experienced Partners and lawyers within a collaborative and high-performing team. You'll be exposed to a variety of transactional work, enabling both breadth and depth in your development as a corporate lawyer. The firm also supports specialisation while encouraging cross-sector experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on transactions including public and private M&A, private equity, equity capital markets, and corporate advisory matters;
  • Contribute to the successful execution of major deals across Australia and international markets;
  • Work across diverse sectors such as energy, infrastructure, financial services, health, mining, media, technology, and retail;
  • Manage discrete matters and independently handle components of larger transactions
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas and jurisdictions;

About you

  • Hold a current Australian or NZ practicing certificate;
  • Ideally at least 3 years of solid experience in a reputable M&A and Capital Markets practice (top-tier, mid-tier, or a combination including in-house experience);
  • Strong legal technical skills and commercial acumen;
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a broader team;
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and client relationship skills; and
  • A commitment to continuous learning, development, and contribution to a team culture
