The role will include all aspects of on-ground ecological restoration. You will be responsible for conducting essential conservation work, focusing on weed management and ecological restoration in a rail corridor environment. This role requires a commitment to safety, environmental sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively in varied outdoor conditions.

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 3 days availability (minimum)

• White Card

• Current drivers' licence and your own transport (preferably some experience in driving a manual vehicle/4WD)

• AQF3 (required for Level 3 and above)

• First Aid (desirable)

• RIW Card (desirable).

Key Responsibilities All aspects of on ground Bush Regeneration including:

• Apply the Bradley Method – Understand and implement ecological restoration principles, focusing on minimal disturbance and natural regeneration techniques.

• Revegetation Techniques – Possess a basic understanding of revegetation methods or demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn best-practice techniques.

• Manual Handling & Field Work – Perform physically demanding tasks, including hand weeding, brush cutting, planting, and site preparation, in various environmental conditions.

• Plant Identification – Recognize and differentiate between native plant species and common invasive weeds.

• Environmental Stewardship – Support conservation goals by following best practices in ecological restoration and weed management.
