About the role
Specialised Surgical Assist' is seeking a skilled and experienced Perioperative Nurse Surgical Assistant to join our dedicated team in Rockhampton, QLD. This is a casual role that will see you play a vital part in providing high-quality surgical care to our patients. As a Perioperative Nurse Surgical Assistant, you will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider surgical team to ensure seamless and safe patient care throughout all stages of the surgical process.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting surgeons during complex surgical procedures
- Anticipating the surgeon's needs and having the appropriate instruments and equipment ready
- Providing rapid and effective interventions as required to ensure patient safety
- Adhering to all infection control protocols and maintaining a sterile environment
- Collaborating with the wider surgical team to deliver the best possible patient outcomes
What we're looking for
- Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA
- Qualified Perioperative Nurse Surgical Assistant
- Demonstrated expertise in assisting with a wide range of surgical procedures
- Excellent clinical skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care
