Noosa Council is seeking a
Community Development Officer
to lead innovative initiatives that build local capacity, foster partnerships and support long-term community wellbeing.

The Role

As part of our Community Connection team, you'll:

Work alongside Councillors, community groups, not-for-profits and government partners

Research and deliver community development initiatives that respond to emerging needs

Provide expert advice on social policy and community development issues

Help secure funding and support sustainable outcomes for community organisations

Play a key role in building community resilience and supporting disaster recovery

About You

You're an experienced community development professional who thrives on collaboration and making a real difference. You bring:

  • Experience in community planning, engagement and project delivery
  • Strong knowledge of government policy, funding and grants
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship skills
  • Tertiary qualifications (or substantial experience) in Community Development, Social Sciences, Human Services or related field
  • A current Blue Card and C Class driver's licence
