Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Education Assistant to join our Junior School team on a part-time basis in 2026. The successful applicant will support teachers in creating engaging and inclusive learning environments, and work closely with students to enhance their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Providing in-class learning support to students across a range of year levels (Kindergarten to Year 6)
  • Assisting in the implementation of differentiated learning programs, including literacy and numeracy interventions
  • Supporting small-group and individual learning activities under teacher guidance
  • Contributing to a caring and safe environment that reflects PLC's values of Integrity, Learning, Community and Effort
  • Collaborating with teaching and specialist staff to support individual education plans (IEPs) and classroom programs
  • Assisting with classroom preparation, resource organisation, and general supervision as required

About You

You are a positive, proactive, and caring professional who enjoys working collaboratively in a dynamic school setting. You demonstrate initiative, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions and are committed to supporting the learning and care of every child.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate IV in Education Support (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience supporting students in a primary or early childhood education setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
  • Experience and/or formal training in MacqLit and MiniLit literacy intervention programs (not essential but is an advantage)
