Port Augusta Technical College, opening mid-2025 and co-located with Port Augusta Secondary School, will offer a part-time technical education model for secondary students across the region. The college will set new standards in skills-based training and learning environments. It will feature on-site accommodation and deliver four key industry programs in civil, resources and infrastructure; health and social support; hospitality and tourism; and multi-trades, supporting career pathways in areas like plumbing, building, electrical, and boilermaking.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for the following roles:

Facilities & Maintenance Officer

  • Maintain and operate equipment and machinery safely, ensuring regular servicing and accurate record-keeping.

  • Manage ordering, storage, and stock levels of materials, tools, and consumables.

  • Oversee daily cleaning, waste disposal, and general upkeep of the Technical College environment.

  • Support specialisation leads to ensure students have safe, high-quality access to facilities and resources for their Industry Training Programs

Administration Coordinators

  • Coordinate student enrolment and compliance processes in partnership with home schools for successful program participation.

  • Provide administrative support across student recruitment, accommodation, supervision, and transport logistics.

  • Assist Technical College leadership and specialisation leads with day-to-day operational administration.

  • Deliver front office services, manage student records, and support effective college communication.

Accommodation Supervisors

  • Provide overnight supervision and student care, ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment aligned with Department for Education standards.

  • Facilitate evening and morning routines, including active supervision, recreational activities, and daily living support to build student independence.

  • Contribute to student wellbeing and development, supporting employability and life skills through structured programs and positive engagement.

  • Accommodation and meals provided while on duty, with opportunities to make a real difference in young people's lives in a rewarding regional setting.
