About You

We are currently seeking an experienced Completions and Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning of the HUGS project at the Iona Gas Storage Facility. This is a unique and exciting opportunity that can be taken up as a fixed-term project, or for candidates with a strong multidisciplinary engineering background, it may evolve into an ongoing role within the organisation.

You will be an experienced professional with outstanding communication, personal and interpersonal skills, capable of working closely with operations, commissioning technicians, and tradespeople. You will have planned and lead commissioning activities at oil and gas or chemical processing facilities and you will have a strong safety focus and leadership skills.

You will demonstrate a strong understanding of industry best practices in completions, commissioning, and handover.  

Job Requirements

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities include developing a robust commissioning plan aligned with Lochard's processes and procedures, identifying resource needs and managing schedules, overseeing construction alignment with the commissioning strategy, reviewing and resolving issues from Inspection Test Records (ITRs), and leading the development of commissioning procedures.

The role also involves attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) as required, ensuring handover processes meet Lochard's standards, promoting safety and compliance with HSE requirements, and fostering collaboration across Projects, Operations, and Engineering teams. 

Job Responsibilities

What you'll need

  • Bachelor of Engineering in a related discipline (process, electrical, mechanical)

is preferred however consideration will be given to applicants with strong commissioning experience from a trade or operations background

.
- Minimum 10 years in hydrocarbon, process plant, or power generation commissioning
- Pre-commissioning and Commissioning skills for oil and gas projects and well-developed fault finding and issue resolution skills.
- Well-developed

technical 

and problem solving 

skills.
- Experience in in brownfield environments and completions management systems (e.g., PIMS)
- Proven leadership in commissioning oil and gas assets
- Strong IT skills with MS office package (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Engineering management skills highly regarded.
  • Experience with Honeywell control systems hardware and software highly regarded
