Our office and warehouse are based in Strathfield South, supporting both our online store and retail sales. We work closely with major suppliers across Australia and value customer satisfaction, accuracy, and teamwork.

About the Role

Our business is growing and we require a permanent part-time member to join our team, with the opportunity for full-time. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Supplier Order Processing & Customer Service professional to join our growing team. This dual-role position plays a critical part in maintaining efficient day-to-day business operations, including supplier order processing and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, efficient and very well organised, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working towards deadlines. You will be given autonomy to improve processes and own the role. The successful candidate will also be expected to learn compliance and product knowledge specific to our industry.

Hours: 3 days per week (flexible days & hours)

Responsibilities

You'll be the key link between our customers, suppliers, and the internal team.

Your day will include a mix of customer communication, order follow-ups, supplier ordering, and general office coordination.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service through every interaction.

  • Place daily supplier orders for both customer sales and stock replenishment through our ordering system (Maropost/Neto) and supplier websites.

  • Make outbound customer service calls to update order ETAs and status changes.

  • Handle inbound calls and emails for product inquiries, order updates, and new orders.
  • Maintain regular contact with suppliers to confirm stock arrivals and discover new product opportunities.
  • Share supplier promotions and offers with the office and marketing team.
  • Manage product substitutions and delivery issues when required.
  • Support the wider office team with administrative and sales tasks as needed.
About You

You're someone who is organised and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and can manage your time well.

You'll bring:

  • Previous experience in an admin or customer service role (ideally in retail, wholesale, logistics, or firearm-related industries).
  • Enjoys talking to people and providing excellent service.
  • Is organised and proactive with follow-ups and communication.
  • Has strong attention to detail and can manage multiple priorities.
  • Is confident on the phone and in email correspondence.
  • Has good computer and Excel skills (experience in Maropost / Neto or with other eCommerce or ERP systems a bonus).
  • Takes initiative and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
