Are you ready for your next challenge? We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Commissioning Technician to join our Hexeis team who will be focused on helping energy intensive, sensitive and critical facilities prepare for the future of energy and sustainability.

Who will you be? You will be a trade-qualified and self-motivated individual, with a high attention to detail to ensure systems are commissioned to meet Hexeis standards, and support our clients to make an impact in the energy sector.  You will complete device setup within our Lab, attend client sites and switchboard builders to commission systems and provide ongoing technical support of Hexeis deployed systems, as well as providing user training as required.

The successful applicant will have a 'can do' attitude and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to adhere to workplace safety procedures and write Safe Work Method Statements and conduct risk assessments and ability to lead others in the same.
  • Ability to be flexible and deliver high quality outcomes in an efficient, practical way with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical plans and specifications with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Attention to detail with consistently accurate results.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with and negotiate with customers.
  • Excellent written communication skills and on-the-job record keeping to deliver client FAT reports.
  • Ability to time manage yourself and other staff and work within client schedules.
  • Solid computer literacy including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Solid mathematical abilities.

Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Trade certified Electrician and hold valid Electrical Work Licence.
  • Hold or qualify for construction Induction Card
  • Current drivers' license
  • Prior experience in similar role commissioning Metering systems, BMS or similar

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or IT
  • Experience with 2d and 3d CAD packages, Single Line diagrams, PME and SQL.
  • Experience with network devices, modbus, BACNet, TCP/IP protocols
  • Undertake and maintain certification with Schneider Electrical.
