The Opportunity:

Newcastle Anglican is seeking casual Laundry Assistants to work in our commercial laundry at Boolaroo. To succeed in this role, you will thrive in a fast paced environment and be available to work across 2 shifts between 6:00am – 2:00pm & 10:00am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday.

Role & Responsibilities:

o Maintaining good work flow ensuring high volumes of laundry meet timeframes.

o Ensure linen and personal items are carefully washed, dried, sorted and folded in line with Newcastle Anglicans high standards

o Follow machine operation instructions and appropriate load types

o Maintaining cleanliness of the work area and machines

o To communicate effectively with employees to ensure the goals and objectives of the position are met.

About you?

  • Work effectively as an individual and within a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Hold a current Drivers licence
  • A National police check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes
