We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Development Assessment Engineer with exceptional experience and communication skills.

  • High Level communication skills required and ability to make autonomous decisions usually influenced only by Council policy, the situation and relevant legislative framework
  • Work in a dynamic and fast paced team environment within Development Assessment Unit.

About The Role
This position is required to provide quality customer service and meet Council's regulatory requirements when determining engineering aspects of development applications.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

  • Degree qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
  • Current Drivers Licence

  • The commencing salary for this position is up to $2,045.64 per week plus 3.5% CLA + Leaseback. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $2,370.18 per week on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
  • We have a permanent full-time position available
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building

A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council's Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.

Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
