As MJ Drilling continues to grow we are looking to employ hard working, reliable individuals as Diamond drillers with a willingness to become multipurpose.

As a driller at MJD you are expected to manage your rig, crew and client relations as it was your name on the door.

  • You are a leader. The health and safety of your crew is paramount
  • The machine pays your wage. Respect it accordingly
  • We sell core. Ensure all steps are taken to retrieve a good sample. Presentation is king. If you don't care about the core the client won't care about reengaging the company
  • Train your offsiders. This is an opportunity to leave a positive legacy to the industry
  • Integrity . This is a small industry. Having a good reputation allows for many more opportunities than a poor one.

About the role

  • Core from surface triple tube operations
  • Maintain core recovery and hole stability
  • Ensuring safe and clean worksite
  • Ensure assistants are trained and competent in their duties
  • Servicing and maintaining of vehicles and equipment
  • Liase with client around drilling operations
  • Liase with management
  • Mobilising trucks and heavy equipment between drill site locations (must have minimum HR Licence)

  • HR Licence is mandatory minimum requirement
  • Current First Aid
