We are seeking a volunteer social visitor for an elder that lives at home at Pagewood and speaks fluent Farsi and English. She is not as socially active and connected to her community as she once was , but as an elder like to chat and connect with people.
Where: it is a home visit in Pagewood, so if you live or work near Pagewood or maybe go to UNSW, this connection could be ideal for you. Buses stop nearby.
When: if you could spare an hour or a fortnight to visit and chat with our lovely client, she and her family would be very appreciative. There is flexibility to visit at a time that suits you both.

Located in Pagewood, so close by if you live, work or study in surrounding areas of Maroubra, Mascot, Kensington and Kingsford.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
