About Us

Platinum Terminal & Mining Services are specialists in bulk fuel and mining infrastructure. With a strong reputation for delivering safe, high-quality outcomes, we are expanding our Tank Division and seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team.

About the Role

As a Boilermaker in our Tank Division, you will work on large-scale tank projects across Perth, regional WA, and remote locations. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting tank repairs, annular ring replacements, bottom re-floors, and ongoing maintenance
  • Degassing and cleaning of tanks in line with safety protocols
  • Welding, fabrication, and structural steel work
  • Supporting inspection and compliance requirements (API 653)
  • Working collaboratively as part of an experienced team on unique and complex projects

This role requires flexibility, a proactive approach, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • API 653 inspection knowledge (desirable)
  • Tank degassing experience
  • Strong welding skills, particularly MMAW
  • ASME 9 6G qualification (desirable)
  • Current EWP ticket
  • Confined space ticket
  • Breathing apparatus (B/A) certification
  • Working at heights ticket
  • HR driver's licence
  • Strong team player mindset and adaptability across varied work scopes
  • Dedication to safety, compliance, and delivering high-quality results
