ELECTRICAL TRADESPERSON - UNLOADING
Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) plays a vital role in facilitating economic growth and sustainability across Queensland and beyond. We are seeking qualified and safety-focused Electrical Tradespeople to join our Unloading Maintenance team and contribute to the safe, reliable operation of our bulk material handling infrastructure.
About the Role
As an Electrical Tradesperson - Unloading, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks on critical plant and equipment associated with bulk material handling, including conveyors, shiploaders, train unloaders, and HV systems. Your expertise will support preventative and breakdown maintenance, ensuring high performance and minimal downtime in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical maintenance services in line with established procedures and safety standards
Diagnose and repair faults in heavy industry equipment, including HV systems up to 11kV, VSDs, PLCs, and SCADA systems
Troubleshoot and calibrate instrumentation systems and complex electrical circuits
Prioritise tasks in accordance with maintenance plans to meet deadlines
Promote and uphold high standards in workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance
Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers
About you
Proven experience with bulk materials handling systems and equipment
Ability to fault-find, test and repair analog/digital electronic and instrumentation systems
Strong understanding of lockout/tagout and HV switching procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications
Mandatory:
Electrical Trade Qualification
Current C Class Driver's Licence (Manual)
Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain
Desirable:
Elevated Work Platform Licence
Forklift Licence
