Trades Assistant to join their workshop team in Sydney

Your new role

This position offers hands-on experience supporting the overhaul and servicing of large diesel engines. You'll work alongside experienced technicians in a dynamic workshop environment, contributing to high-quality service delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Assist with engine overhauls, cleaning, painting, and general workshop duties
  • Support workshop staff with day-to-day tasks and job preparation
  • Participate in toolbox meetings and maintain accurate job documentation
  • Follow safety protocols and manufacturer instructions
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a mechanical workshop or similar environment
  • Mechanical or machining qualifications (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • Basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation
  • Safety-conscious and physically fit for workshop duties
