Holovision is seeking an experienced Steel Detailer to join our Brisbane team. This full-time, on-site role involves producing detailed drawings and models for fabrication by Watkins Steel, a leading Brisbane-based structural steel fabricator supplying commercial and industrial projects across Queensland.

About the Role

You will be responsible for creating accurate structural steel shop drawings, ensuring designs are practical for fabrication and contributing to high-quality project documentation while utilizing scan data & providing digital set outs for our surveyors. You will work closely with engineers / architects / project managers and fabricators to deliver precision solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed structural steel fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures.
  • Provide a custom fabrication package to suit our line of advanced robotic processing machinery.
  • Contribute to the larger Watkins Steel team from Estimating / Drafting / Project Management / Fabrication & Install.
  • Coordinate & work closely with the Holovision Spatial team to create highly accurate & time saving solutions.
  • Support project coordination and maintain quality standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Tekla detailing experience in an Australian environment.
  • Experience with drafting for a fabricator (essential).
  • Familiar with 3D scanning and scan-to-BIM detailing (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineers & architects' drawings.
  • Must be based locally in Brisbane.
  • Must be available for on-site, full-time work (no remote work option).
