Location: Brisbane (2 days WFH per week)

Daily Rate:A$1315 inc super

BLACKROC is excited to partner with a major Government program to recruit an experienced SAP HR/Payroll Functional Expert on a long-term contract through to June 2026, with strong potential for extension.

Role Purpose

This position provides high-level expertise across SAP HR/Payroll to support trouble ticket resolution, design and configuration activities, pay run operations, and system enhancements within a highly complex enterprise environment. You'll work closely with HR, Payroll, Business, and Technical teams to ensure robust, compliant, and reliable functionality across the SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot SAP HR/Payroll problem tickets and provide expert-level resolution.
  • Configure, test, and document SAP changes to meet business and legislative requirements.
  • Train users on new functionality and support smooth adoption of system updates.
  • Maintain functional documentation, review technical specs, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Support payroll operations including defect resolution and pay run activities.
  • Deliver system improvements and recommend enhancements aligned with best practice.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across SAP, Workbrain, and Fi/Co.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Deep SAP HR expertise across OM, AUS Payroll, Time, PA, CATS, ESS/MSS.
  • Strong experience writing functional and technical specifications.
  • Prior experience supporting large-scale enterprise SAP HR/Payroll solutions.
  • Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and government award structures.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • SAP ECC6-EHP8 configuration experience (10+ years desirable).
