Beechboro Christian School (BCS), a culturally diverse and growing school located in Bennett Springs, is part of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). BCS provides Christ-centred, values-based education that empowers students to become all God created them to be. With over 350 enrolments and more than 50 nationalities represented in our community, BCS is a vibrant environment grounded in gospel mission and meaningful relationships.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dean of Primary to join our team in Term 4 on a full-time, ongoing capacity. This role will also include a teaching component which will be determined at a later time. The successful applicant will exemplify continual learning and professional development, the Dean of Primary will use their skills to empower and upskill staff, helping both staff and students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and develop Years 3-6 pedagogy and culture in alignment with the school's Christian values, fostering a collaborative and high-trust environment.
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Early Years and Principal on curriculum oversight, teaching quality, assessment, and whole-school strategic goals.
  • Drive staff development through coaching, peer feedback, and professional growth initiatives focused on trust, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Promote innovative and evidence-based teaching practices, ensuring differentiation through early intervention and extension strategies.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the Primary years and liaise with leadership to support school improvement plans.
  • Maintain a teaching component (details to be determined) while empowering staff and students to reach their full potential.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • A personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Christian church.
  • Agreement with SCEA's Statement of Faith and alignment with the Christian ethos of the school.
  • Tertiary qualification in Education with demonstrated expertise in learning support, inclusion, and/or gifted education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to support and mentor staff.
  • A deep commitment to holistic education that nurtures every aspect of a student's development.
