Baldivis Family Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Dietician to join our team in Baldivis, Western Australia. As a Dietician, you will be responsible for providing expert nutritional advice and support to our patients, helping them achieve their health and wellness goals. This is a crucial role within our healthcare practice, and you will play a key part in positively impacting the lives of our community.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments and developing personalised dietary plans for patients
- Providing one-on-one counselling and guidance to patients, educating them on healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care
- Staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of nutrition and dietetics
- Contributing to the development and implementation of health promotion and disease prevention programs
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation in accordance with professional and legal standards
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related field
- Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) registration with the Dietitians Association of Australia
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dietician in a clinical or healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and motivate patients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop tailored dietary plans
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations and best practices in the field of nutrition and dietetics
- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends
