Kitchen Hand – Finders Keepers Cafe

Location: Hawthorn, VIC

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand to join our team at Finders Keepers Cafe. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, values cleanliness, and is eager to learn and grow in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and service.
• Support cooking and preparation tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment at all times.
• Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with stock rotation and storage.
• Work efficiently under pressure to support smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of kitchen and cooking experience.
• Availability to work weekends (at least one per week).
• Commitment to 21–25 hours per week.
• Food Safety Certificate (preferred).
• Strong basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen processes.
• High focus on hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 25 per week
