About the role

The Emergency Resilience Officer provides vital operational support to the SA Housing Trust's Emergency Relief Unit, contributing to the planning, preparation, and delivery of emergency relief across South Australia. The role supports training and exercising activities, builds capability within the relief function, and enhances operational readiness. The role also offers surge support during emergency activations.

As part of a broader team, the role provides support to the Facilities team where operational needs align with emergency relief efforts.

Desirable - Diploma Public Safety - Emergency Management

Desirable - Certificate Four in training and assessment TAE40122 (or equivalent)

Remuneration

$85,790 - $95,413 (ASO5)

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Clearance prior to being employed.
  • The successful applicant will be required to hold a current Australian issued Drivers Licence, which must be maintained.
  • Frequent overnight intrastate travel may be necessary.
  • Successful applicant will be required to be on call regularly.
  • Successful applicant will have a willingness to negotiate leave.
  • Significant out of hours work will be required on an ongoing basis during emergency events.
