About the role

  • Deliver high-quality support for pre-employment and ongoing screening checks to ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Use systems and data to monitor, analyse and report on probity and screening activities with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues to enhance service delivery and continuously improve processes.

The Advisor role provides exceptional customer service and expert support through strong relationships and teamwork, ensuring consistent, high-quality service. Leveraging specialist knowledge and experience, the Advisor promptly and professionally resolves customer enquiries while ensuring compliance with legislation and DoE policies in delivering pre-employment and ongoing screening services.

About you

  • Provide high-quality, specialised support in a contact centre-like environment, ensuring exceptional service delivery and a continually improving customer experience.
  • Give prompt and accurate feedback to your supervisor on sensitive or emerging issues that may impact customer service or business outcomes.
  • Build strong customer relationships and work collaboratively across teams within Human Resources to enhance service efficiency.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and legislative reforms
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical expertise and support efficient systems, processes, and policy implementation
  • Analyse systems and data to produce insightful report that support informed decision-making
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • A valid, paid Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Human Resource Management, or a relevant discipline
  • Effective execution of the day-to-day activities of the HR function, following directions and consulting with the supervisor where required
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
