Located only 10 minutes from Brisbane's CBD, the venue features beautiful Queensland architecture, modern facilities and impressive views over the surrounding parkland and golf course.

We are seeking a dedicated, professional and passionate chef to join our amazing and ever expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for strong motivated team player to join our super busy and rapidly growing restaurant and event kitchen departments and help us push the boundaries and lift our cuisine to the next level.

The responsibilities for the vacant position include:

· Prepare and cook dishes of all types on the menu, from starters through to desserts

· Adherence to strict dietary requirements (allergies etc)

· Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking

· Ensure quality of ingredients

· Oversee kitchen operations

· Demonstrate techniques to cook and advise on cooking procedures

· Keep up with industry trends and creating new recipes with the Head Chef

· Follow the budget set by the Restaurant Manager

· Train kitchen staff, when necessary

· Ensure standard portions and quality of dishes

· Maintenance of a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils

· Maintain legislated food hygiene and general safety practices

Qualifications and skills required for the role:

· Diploma of Hospitality Management is required

· Minimum two (2) years' experience as a Chef, in a commercial kitchen

· Excellent knife skills

· Modern and classical cooking techniques

· Advanced knowledge of the culinary arts

· New ideas and innovation are also welcome as the successful applicant will be encouraged to share and put forward recommendations to improve sales and productivity

· Expert multitasking ability

· Be well presented, well groomed

· Great leadership and interpersonal skills

· Hard work ethic in a high-pressure environment

· Be able to work weekends and evenings, be available 7 days
