Exam Writers and Checkers

We are looking for highly experienced and dedicated current WA teachers who would love to take on the role of exam writers and checkers for OnTask Assessments. In just six years we have grown to provide high quality exams to around two thrids of all WA secondary schools.

Applicants must:

• Have a minimum 5 years experience teaching the ATAR (WACE Curriculum) course
• Be currently delivering the course (or very recently ceased)
• Have a high level of understanding of the syllabus for the course
• Have a very strong understanding around the external exam paper structure for your course
• Work effectively to meet deadlines

Preferable:

• Have experience in development of exams used either within your school or commercially
• Participation in WACE exam development and/or marking

Exam Writers:

Whilst we are mostly keen for writers in the following priority subjects, we are happy to hear from teachers willing to write assessments for other Year 11/12 WACE subjects:

• Year 11 Chemistry
• Year 11/12 Physics
• Year 11/12 Economics
• Year 11/12 Geography

Payments to exam writers are paid on a commission basis.

Exam Checkers:

Our curriculum checkers comb through the papers to ensure the quality of the papers and provide feedback to our writers - including appropriate format, variety of syllabus material, appropriate levels of challenge and overall feedback on the papers.

We require checkers for all of the papers listed above as well as:

• Year 11/12 Human Biology
• Year 11/12 Health Studies

Checkers are paid a set fee.
