ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will proactively leverage advanced AI tools (such as Co-Pilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Dev0, Gemini, or similar) to accelerate development, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance decision-making. Pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality software solutions for the next generation of automotive SaaS products, with an "AI First" mindset. To be successful you will not only use AI to supplement your work, but you will actively seek opportunities to integrate AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency, code quality, and product innovation

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality features across the stack, proactively leveraging advanced AI tools to accelerate development and automate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver on business goals, using AI-driven insights to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
• Optimising and maintaining existing applications for performance, scalability, and security, continuously seeking opportunities to integrate solutions that enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Contributing to architectural decisions and best practices, championing the adoption of AI-first approaches and sharing knowledge of emerging AI technologies with the team.
• Mentoring and supporting junior developers, fostering an AI-first culture by encouraging the use of AI tools and sharing practical examples of AI-enhanced development.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in .NET Framework & .NET Core development, with demonstrated use of AI-powered coding assistants (such as Co-Pilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Dev0, Gemini, or similar) to accelerate development, automate repetitive tasks, and improve code quality.
• Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) – schema design, queries, and stored procedures, with experience leveraging AI tools to optimise database design, query performance, or automate routine database tasks, with a good understanding of PostgreSQL.
• HTML & CSS for front-end structure and styling, including practical examples of using AI-driven tools to streamline UI development or ensure accessibility and consistency.
• JavaScript for interactive, dynamic web experiences, with a proven track record of integrating AI solutions to enhance user experience, automate testing, or support rapid prototyping.

It would be preferable if you also have:

• Experience with AngularJS and/or TypeScript for building robust front-end applications, alternatively experience or an understanding of PayloadCMS, NextJS.
• Background in SaaS product development and multi-tenant architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• A proactive, "AI First" mindset - enthusiastic about exploring, adopting, and advocating for AI-driven development processes, and able to demonstrate how AI has been used to deliver better outcomes in previous roles.
