Your opportunity to join our team

We are looking for dedicated and hard-working Farm Hands to join our team at Toowoomba Farms. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the care and welfare of our birds, as well as contributing to the overall cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of the farming operation. Whether you have prior farming experience or are looking to start your career in agriculture, we'd love to hear from you.

Daily Tasks

Assist with the day-to-day care of poultry, including feeding, monitoring, and handlingCarry out cleaning, sanitisation, and general farm maintenance tasksMonitor bird health and report any irregularitiesMaintain accurate records and comply with biosecurity and animal welfare standardsOperate basic machinery and equipment safelySupport farm management with other operational tasks as neededWork starts at 7:00 am, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work requiredVarying hours depending on farm needs

You will bring to this role

A positive and reliable work ethicGood physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasksAbility to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail, particularly around animal welfare and hygieneWillingness to work in varying weather conditionsPrevious experience in farming or animal care (advantageous but not essential)

Please note: Due to quarantine restrictions, we are unable to accept applications from individuals who regularly come into contact with pigs or birds, or who live with others working in poultry or pig operations.
