Orbit Fitness Equipment is a trusted provider of premium fitness and gym equipment across Australia. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and ensuring our products perform to the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.

As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our service operations. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role where you'll combine technical know-how with people management to ensure our customers receive first-class service every time.

About the Role

As Service Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of our service division — from job scheduling and team performance through to customer communication and technical issue resolution. Working closely with our internal teams and directly with clients, you'll ensure service operations are efficient, professional, and aligned with our brand values.

We're looking for a calm, solutions-driven leader who can guide a small team with a supportive and practical approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of service technicians and install drivers
  • Schedule and oversee daily service jobs for both commercial and residential customers
  • Provide hands-on support with troubleshooting and technical issues when required
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through clear and timely communication
  • Ensure service reports, parts usage, and documentation are accurate and up to date
  • Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and showroom teams to achieve shared goals
  • Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvements
  • Uphold WHS and compliance standards across all operations
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members as we expand

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in a service management or technical operations leadership role
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A supportive, can-do leadership style with the ability to motivate a small team
  • Technical knowledge of fitness equipment (or similar mechanical/electrical products)
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Solid computer skills, including job tracking, reporting, and email
  • Strong working knowledge of Simpro job scheduling software (essential)
  • A valid Australian driver's licence
  • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
