Eilbeck Cranes is a 100% Australian owned company operating for 115 years specializing in the design, manufacturing and Installation of all types of Overhead Cranes, Hoists & Winches.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Eilbeck Cranes Truganina, Victoria is seeking an Industrial Electrical Installer to join our team. In this role, you will have regional travels as you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment for our overhead crane installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in overhead cranes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, including identifying and repairing shorts, faulty wiring, and other issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and components to ensure proper function and safety.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
  • Install and connect power supply wiring, conduit, and other electrical components.
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and clients to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and best practices.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of work performed, including work orders and inspection reports.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing clear and concise updates on project status.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience as electrician for overhead crane installations
  • Electrical licence Grade A
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Committed to safety
  • Ability to perform electromechanical assemblies and repairs
  • Conduct load tests and commissioning
  • Available for regional travel and overtime
  • Ability to interface with other trades
  • Ability to communicate at trade, management and customer level

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Immediate start preferred
  • Daily work is installation and commissioning of OHTC as required
  • Travel required - Metro Melbourne, regional Victoria , SA and TAS as required also when available support to any other Eilbeck Cranes facility as agreed to
  • Roster is day shift - ability to work overtime as required , weekend work on occasions when required
  • Vehicle and mobile phone supplied for business purposes , all meals and accommodation supplied when travelling regional or interstate
  • Training available for those who have strong industrial experience relative to Cranes and Lifting equipments but not direct to Cranes - workshop exposure to ABUS equipment , ABUS Manuals accessible and provided, tech support within the team (Mechanical & Electrical)
