About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse 2IC to join our team in a fast-paced food distribution environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance staff supervision, operational efficiency, and step up as Acting Warehouse Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the team in daily warehouse operations.
  • Act as 2IC, stepping up as Warehouse Manager when required.
  • Liaise with Sales, Customer Service and Transport for smooth communication.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with safety, compliance, and productivity.
  • Support stock control: cycle counts, stocktakes, and adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate picking and dispatch using the WMS.
About You
  • Experience in warehouse/distribution (food industry preferred).
  • Valid forklift licence and proven forklift operating experience.
  • Strong leadership skills to supervise, motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and cross-department liaison skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes, safety standards, and WMS.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
