About Information Technology Services
The Information Technology Services (ITS) team forms part of Research Support and Governance. ITS provides infrastructure, systems, communication services, software development services, information analytics and records management services.

Role Purpose / Responsibilities
Applications are invited for the position of Senior Support Technician to join our IT Service Delivery team. This role provides first, second and selected third-tier technical support within a large enterprise environment and serves as a key technical escalation point for complex issues. You will also lead the implementation of several high-impact technology uplift projects that directly improve the user experience and operational efficiency across the Institute.

Key Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

  • Leading the delivery of computer and device management projects using Microsoft Intune and JAMF.
  • Implementing and managing tools for automated deployment and updating of third-party software applications.
  • Supporting the migration of user mailboxes from on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online.
  • Enhancing user authentication and security through Windows Hello for Business.
  • Providing technical leadership, documentation and training to uplift capability within the IT Service Desk.

You are a proactive and solutions-focused IT professional with a strong technical foundation and the ability to lead operational and project-based initiatives. You thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrate sound judgement in complex technical scenarios and are committed to delivering exceptional service to end users.

You Will Bring

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Intune, Exchange Online and Windows Hello for Business.
  • Proven capability in automated device deployment and supporting large-scale mailbox migrations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Excellent documentation, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Remuneration:
Salary range is $91,591 to $100,862 p.a. plus super and generous salary packaging. This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 18 months.
