About the Role:

We're looking for a Boilermaker to join our team based at Bowen Hills, with regular travel required to regional QLD. You'll work on Queensland Rail's passenger rollingstock, undertaking scheduled maintenance, repairs, and fabrication or modification of components.

This role will involve both workshop and outdoor environments, requiring physical fitness to handle equipment and various types of terrain.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform boiler making, welding, and fabrication tasks on railway rollingstock, sub-assemblies, and steel or metal components.
• Use various welding and fabrication tools and techniques for structural repairs and modifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics to fabricate or repair components and resolve issues.

About the Role
:

We're looking for a Mechanical Technician with Welding experience to join our team based at Mayne, with regular travel to regional QLD. You'll work on Queensland Rail's passenger rollingstock, undertaking scheduled wagon maintenance inspections and repairs, component overhaul and testing.

Your role will involve both workshop and outdoor environments, requiring physical fitness to handle equipment and terrain.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical work on Railway Rollingstock, sub-assemblies, and manufactured parts.
• Exposure to pneumatic systems and tools for mechanical servicing
• Read and interpret technical schematics to diagnose and resolve faults
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, leveraging technical drawings and engineering best practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and contractors.

What you'll bring:

• Trade-qualified mechanical fitter or equivalent
• MIG/ARC Welding experience
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Continuing commitment to a Zero Harm workplace
