Casual Reception Role in a Tourist Park

Alivio Tourist Park Canberra is a busy, guest focused, accommodation property on the north side of Canberra in O'Connor - only 4 km from the city and we are looking for a Receptionist to join our dedicated Front Office Team

This is a casual position with shifts available morning and afternoon. Shifts are typically:

  • Morning shifts 7.00am – 2.30pm,
  • Middle shifts 11.00am – 7.00pm and
  • Afternoon shifts 2.30pm – 10.30pm.

The right candidate will need to have flexible availability through the week as well as weekends. 

We are currently looking for candidates who can work 2 - 4 shifts per week on a 7-day rotating roster.

The main duties associated with this role will be to check guests in and out, answer incoming phone calls relating to guest enquiries, entering new bookings into the database and administrative tasks.

In addition to the noted duties there may also be some light duties in our restaurant, The Verandah, which may include, running and clearing the floor, taking orders using a point-of-sale system, making espresso, cleaning duties, and greeting guests, on an ad hoc basis.

  • have previous administration experience
  • possess excellent communication skills
  • have a high attention to detail
  • are confident in using Microsoft Office
  • have the ability to be flexible in your working hours
  • are well presented
  • availability during peak times, i.e. school holidays, long weekends etc
  • be fully COVID-19 vaccinated

Previous accommodation/ travel industry experience will be highly regarded.
