About Us:

Berry Air is a leading provider of HVAC and mechanical services across commercial, strata, and government facilities. We specialise in the installation, maintenance, and compliance of mechanical ventilation, air conditioning, and pool filtration systems. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Plumber / Chemical Dosing Technician to join our service team.

About the Role:

This role is focused on the operation, maintenance, and servicing of commercial pool plant systems within high-rise buildings, aquatic centres, and mechanical plant rooms. You'll ensure water quality, system performance, and compliance are maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain commercial pool filtration, heating, and dosing systems.
  • Conduct regular chemical testing, monitor readings, and adjust dosing systems to maintain compliance with health regulations.
  • Carry out mechanical and plumbing maintenance on pumps, valves, heat exchangers, filters, and dosing systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults within plant rooms and mechanical systems.
  • Record service logs, chemical readings, and maintenance reports accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S and environmental procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate with building managers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver efficient, professional service.

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Services, or related field.
  • Experience in commercial pool plant operations or mechanical water treatment systems.
  • Strong understanding of chemical dosing equipment and water testing procedures.
  • Current Chemical Handling Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Sound mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and client liaison abilities.
  • Current Driver's Licence and Construction White Card required.
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets advantageous.
