About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present breakfast dishes for both buffet and à la carte services
  • Ensure timely and accurate mis-en-place for a smooth morning service
  • Uphold food rotation and storage standards to ensure product freshness
  • Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment and cold storage areas
  • Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness across all kitchen areas
  • Engage with guests at the open kitchen where appropriate, showcasing voco's warm, approachable style
  • Support stock control and daily food requisitions
  • Participate in shift handovers and briefings to ensure seamless kitchen operations
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Commis Chef or Kitchen Hand role, ideally in a hotel or high-volume breakfast operation
  • A positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline
  • Great communication and the ability to work well in a team
  • A focus on food safety, hygiene, and quality
  • Confidence to work under pressure and meet time targets during peak breakfast periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, especially early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
