ABOUT THE ROLE

With continued growth in the transport industry and Volgren's strong reputation for quality and innovation, our Aftersales Department is expanding to support increasing demand for warranty work, accident repairs, and retrofit projects.

We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and collaborative working environment, offering opportunities for passionate and skilled individuals to further develop their trade expertise while contributing to the ongoing success of our customers' fleets.

We are seeking an individual with strong mechanical aptitude to join our Eagle Farm facility. In this hands-on role, you will apply your skills in fault seeking, problem solving, and repairs, working within a safety-conscious team to deliver high-quality diagnostics, refurbishments, and modifications.

Pay rates are market competitive and based on experience and qualifications. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, covered under our Enterprise Agreement.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
  • Interpret drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Modify and fit parts and components to meet specific requirements.
  • Weld, cut and form metal
  • Identify faults, carry out root cause analysis, and perform necessary repairs.
  • Frame and fit hardware according to job specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all workplace safety guidelines.
  • Be punctual, reliable, and able to work effectively within a team environment.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Trade qualification in Boiler making, Fabrication, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a vehicle manufacturing or service environment is highly regarded.

This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test
