About Us:

Silvs on Kennedy is a vibrant and welcoming café in Richmond, dedicated to serving top-quality coffee and exceptional customer experiences. We proudly use Industry Beans, ensuring our coffee is always premium, and we're looking for a passionate and skilled Head Barista to lead our coffee program.

The Role:

As our Head Barista, you will be responsible for maintaining our high coffee standards, leading the barista team, and ensuring every cup is brewed to perfection. You'll have a keen eye for detail, a love for specialty coffee, and the ability to create a seamless and efficient workflow during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coffee team, ensuring quality and consistency in every cup
  • Dial in espresso and maintain equipment to Industry Beans' high standards
  • Train and mentor baristas to enhance their skills and coffee knowledge
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and build relationships with regulars
  • Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, and barista supplies
  • Work closely with the management team to innovate and improve our coffee offering

About You:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a senior barista or head barista
  • Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, including espresso extraction and milk texturing
  • Experience with Industry Beans coffee is a bonus
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable experiences
