About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time property lawyer with experience in the commercial, industrial, retail and residential sectors to manage a portfolio of new and returning clients. 

The role is full time and requires a professional with a senior level knowledge of property law.

In return for your exceptional work ethic and high quality of work, you will be rewarded with an above market salary, and mentoring and assistance from the principal lawyer.

The successful applicant will be able to:

  • Oversee the firm's property conveyancer to complete property settlement files from start to finish.
  • Work autonomously on your own portfolio of new and return clients.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of other lawyers and clerks.
  • Utilise the leading legal software to ensure the highest quality of service and professionalism.

Skills & experience

  • Current Australian practising lawyer with post-admission experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in property law – commercial, industrial, retail and residential sectors.
  • Preparation and review of contracts, loan agreements, option agreements etc.
  • Clear understanding of property law, conveyancing principles, commercial and retail leases.
  • Complex subdivision conveyancing and off the plan work.
  • Liaising with clients and other parties.
  • Experience with PEXA, LEAP, InfoTrack, and a high level of IT competency.
  • Solid comprehension of grammar.
  • Strong eye for detail.
  • Be organised, efficient, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Be flexible.
