We are dedicated to creating new takes on traditional Mexican and South American dishes utilising fresh, seasonal ingredients. Our menu highlights traditional Mexican flavours in a modern setting, and we are seeking an experienced Sous chef /Head Chef or someone who is ready to up the game, to join our team.

About the Role:

Your duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

 Craft recipes and menus based on seasonal ingredients, customer demand, portion sizes,

and pricing.

 Design unique dishes while ensuring all prep work meets quality standards.

 Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively.

 Source premium ingredients to enhance dish flavours.

 Monitor and replenish stock levels to avoid shortages.

 Manage risks, ensure compliance, and analyse kitchen information such as reports and audits.

 Enhance operational efficiency by following and updating kitchen policies and procedures.

 Uphold cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, fostering a positive team environment.

Requirements

 Minimum of 2-3 years' experience.

 Experienced with stock control including ordering

 Experienced with cost of goods

 Experience with leading a kitchen team

 Strong understanding of Food, Safety and Hygiene practices

 Excellent communicator at all levels, and strong interpersonal skills

 Acts with integrity, honesty, empathy and fairness towards colleagues, suppliers, and

customers

 Adaptable and a willingness to learn and grow

 Ability to remain calm under pressure

Company Specific requirement

 Experience in Mexican cuisine.

 Have knowledge of Mexican food jargons.

 Knowledge of Tacos, empanadas, sopes, Mexican chillies, Moles

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $61,792.11 – $87,953.93 per year

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
