Talking Blocks Speech Therapy, based in West and North West Sydney, provides tailored, evidence-based speech therapy support to children with speech sound difficulties, language delays, and communication needs. Role Description
Talking Blocks Speech Therapy is looking for a passionate, driven Speech Pathologist to join our growing mobile team as a contractor for 2-3 days per week, with a view to increasing days as caseload builds.
The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualised treatment plans, and providing direct therapy to children. Additional tasks include collaborating with families and school staff, documenting progress, and utilising practical strategies and home-based resources.
About the Role:
- Contractor position seeing 4-5 clients per day (flexible based on your capacity and preference).
- Pay rate: $100 per client.
- Travel reimbursement: $0.99/km from one client to the next.
- Assessments resources provided; therapy resources to be supplied by the contractor.
- Online software access for notes, planning, and client information.
Supervision provided:
- Week 1: Observation of Senior SP/Director sessions.
- Week 2: You conduct sessions with Senior SP observing.
- Week 3 onwards: Independent service delivery with ongoing support.
- Case discussions & supervision every 6 weeks to review progress and goals
Qualifications
- Experience in Speech Therapy and Speech skills.
- Knowledge of Communication Disorders and Language Disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and school staff.
- Experience with evidence-based practices and innovative programs.
- Relevant qualifications in Speech Pathology.
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Experience in paediatric speech therapy is a plus.
- As a contractor, required to hold: valid ABN, Public liability and Indemnity Insurance, WWCC, NDIS Workers Check.
